Aliana is a Puerto Rico native and Magna Cum Laude graduate from Worcester State University with a B.S. in psychology, concentrating in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. At Worcester State, Aliana worked at the Memory Lab of Dr. Brittany Jeye, examining the cognitive neuroscience underlying human long-term memory. Aliana has also previously worked with Dr. Sarah Berger’s Child Development Lab at the City University of New York examining motor and cognitive functioning in infants. Her undergraduate honors thesis titled The Role of Individual Differences in Face Recognition and Mental Imagery in Inhibition of Long-Term Face Memory Specificity received top honors at Worcester State.
Currently, she is also an MPH student at Brown University. Her main research interests include cognitive functioning, mental health, and sleep, specifically in historically underrepresented groups of people. Aliana also enjoys traveling and film photography.
